1. The WAS Youth Initiative was present at the “First global conference on contraception, reproductive and sexual health”, in May 2013, Copenhagen, Denmark. Antón Castellanos Usigli, Chair of the YIC, participated in the WAS Symposium along Lotta Löfgren-Martenson and Kevan Wylie, speaking about the Round Tables of Discussion that the YIC organized during 2012 in Japan, Spain and Colombia.
2. The WAS Youth Initiative Committee held its first Symposium at the 21st World Congress for Sexual Health in Porto Alegre, Brazil, September 2013. Stefano Eleuteri, Katarzyna Peichert and Antón Castellanos Usigli were the speakers. The YIC also coordinated a special Symposium for Brazilian youth. Katy and Antón also participated in the Symposium “Your love, your life. Sex education for a new generation”, sponsored by Durex and MTV.
