Memories and accomplishments of 2011 – WAS Youth Initiative

1. The WAS Youth Initiative Committee was created with two Co-Chairs: Antón Castellanos Usigli and Esther Corona. It started with 10 Members:  Ase Werner (Sweden), Carlos Cotiz (Venezuela), Emma Skarpas (Sweden), Magdalena Rivera (Chile), Pablo Fernandez (Australia), Rola Yasmine (Lebanon), Samuel Muchoki (Kenya), Stefano Eleuteri (Italy), Vijayasarathi Ramanathan (India), Yasmany Díaz Figueroa (Cuba). 

The Committee was approved at the 20th World Congress for Sexual Health in Glasgow, United Kingdom (June 2011).

2. The WAS Youth Initiative had a very strong participation during World Sexual Health Day 2011, with the topic: “Youth’s sexual health: Shared rights & responsibilities”.

 

3. The WAS Youth Initiative started its Facebook, Twitter and Youtube pages. In the Youtube Page, we have featured interviews with different international experts that talk about youth’s sexual health in the 21st Century.
