The Israeli Society for Sexual Therapy (ISST –ITAM in Hebrew-), is non-profit, interdisciplinary organization founded in 1983 to incorporate sex therapists in Israel. ITAM’s goal is to standardize the treatment of sexual dysfunction within the highest professional standards, highlighting sensitivity to cultural, genders and sexual orientations diversities, while adhering to strict ethical rules. ITAM members are physicians, social workers, psychologists, marriage and family therapists and nurses who have undergone extensive theoretical and clinical training to be certified as sex therapists/ ITAM is responsible of the further development of its members through regular scientific meetings. ITAM is an associated member of the European Federation of Sexology (EFS) and the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS).
