Media Committee

The WAS Media Committee is designed to promote of the work of World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) to the public at large, to scientific communities, and to media outlets. This is accomplished throughout various media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, press releases to news services, and recurring e-alerts to membership. In addition, the Media Committee works in conjunction with the management company and the Congress staff to promote the biennial WAS Congress activities.

Members Bio

Patti Britton

Patti Britton, PhD, MPH, ACSE/S, ABS, ACSI, FAACS, is a Clinical Sexologist, AASECT-Certified Sexuality Educator/Supervisor & Past President (2006-2008), and the pioneer of Sex Coaching. As a well-respected sexologist, she is an academic, author (5 books), popular speaker, trainer and workshop leader, and hosts DVDs for couples’ sexual enhancement. She frequently appears on summits, in documentaries, and on media. With a private practice in Los Angeles and via Skype globally, Dr. Patti is the Co-Founder of Sex Coach University – the world’s premier credentialing and training organization for sex coaching. She has served on 30+ sexology doctoral committees in and is an elected WAS Advisory Committee member.

Jennifer Gunsaullus


Jennifer Gunsaullus, PhD, sociologist and intimacy coach, is a national speaker on couples intimacy, sexual consent, compassionate communication, regaining desire, and mindful sex.
She is the author of From Madness to Mindfulness: Reinventing Sex for Women, has presented two TEDx Talks, is the co-host of the podcast Sex Talk with Clint & the Doc. Dr. Jenn has over 1.6 million hits on her In the Den with Dr. Jenn YouTube series, and is an expert in the documentary on masturbation, Sticky: A (Self) Love Story. She works and plays in sunny San Diego, CA.


Megan Martin


is a Medical Doctor and Sexual Health Blogger. Megan is incredibly passionate about patient autonomy and education. She believes that every person, and women in particular, should have the power and knowledge to make informed decisions when it comes to their own health. Megan is the Founder and Director of the Sexual Wellness platform which focuses on providing DIY resources for women with low libido. Dr Martin is an Executive Board Member of the Southern African Sexual Health Association (SASHA) and has been nominated as one of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s 120 Under 40 International Family Planning Leaders for 2019. She has contributed to the book “A Celebration of Vulva Diversity” by Hilde Atalanta as the medical expert for the project. In this book, she addressed common questions and debunked myths surrounding sexual health. Dr Martin has contributed to a number of different radio shows and podcasts, including VoiceAmerica.
