Call For Expressions of Interest, Congress of the World Association for Sexual Health, 2023

The World Association for Sexual Health is calling for expressions of interest for organizing and hosting the 2023 Congresses of the World Association for Sexual Health. Requirements are listed below.  SCIENTIFIC ASPECTS A recognized local active community/society/institution, WAS member in the field of sexual health and sexual rights with at least one member based in the proposed city is a necessary. In addition, it is necessary that the entity present a history list of scientific events held by them. The Gold Medal Award 2021

The Gold Medal is the most prestigious honour awarded by the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS). A maximum of five medals are awarded at the WAS Biennial Congress. Nominations may be submitted by anyone experienced in the field and should be supported by two other persons who are known to WAS. An individual cannot nominate themself. The system is confidential. The person who is being nominated should not be approached for information nor should be advised of their nomination at any stage. Mexico City World Congress of Sexual HealthDECLARATION ON SEXUAL PLEASURE Mexico City, October 15, 2019 The participants of the 24th World Congress of the World Association for Sexual Health: RECOGNIZE that: Sexual pleasure is the physical and/or psychological satisfaction and enjoyment derived from shared or solitary erotic experiences, including thoughts, fantasies, dreams, emotions, and feelings. Self-determination, consent, safety, privacy, confidence and the ability to communicate and negotiate sexual relations are key enabling factors for pleasure to contribute to sexual health and well-being.
